shit its been awhile, sorry about that, a lot is going on though,
so lets commence with the updates.

the saddest landscape just got finished recording songs for 2 upcoming splits, and we are fucking stoked beyond belief with how everything turned out, dave at 113 did a great job at making us sound as we should, and we thank him for that,

the first split is with our frineds trophy scars, that bear records is putting out, we are hoping to have this out by halloween, look for preorders on the bear site soon, ill let you know,

the other split will come shortly after, then that will be followed by the new tsl full length.

we also have some new tsl shows coming up, we will be doing a super short tour with a great band from baltimore called pianos become the teeth, we will be starting that in philly on oct 23, we will also be playing in brooklyn on nov 10th with touche amore and the always brilliant the brass, shit will be legendary, if you miss this i worry about your soul.

in merch news, i have finally gotten around to adding some stuff to the store, we have 5 copies of the other limited version of the hbog 6", as well as we finally have copies of the lovelife comp cd that ape must not kill ape put out, the comp has a lot of amazing bands as well as songs from both tsl and hbog, pretty solid.

well we survived our tour with the brass, thanks to all of you who came out, laura and jess for giving us places to sleep, and the other bands we played with, and especially the brass who we hopefully will be touring again with very soon.

so i thought it was time for an update on the hbog preorder deluxe sets, i had hoped to ship them last week but lets just say the amounting of sewing involved was more than i could handle on my end, not to worry though, the wonderful d. brown stepped up and made the covers look even more beautiful than i would have done on my own. so i have been spending my evening packaging them up, a lot of them will go in the mail on sat, the rest early/mid next week, and a couple of you will get yours delivered in person, aren't you lucky??? so thanks for being patient everyone.

there are 50 grey tapes, and 50 white tapes. 25 of of each went to listen to aylin in norway, the rest are here and you can order either color from us or bear

then there are 50 red tapes, these are only available in the preorder deluxe sets, so if you ordered the set you will get a red one,

hey there, so the big news is we have a series of record release shows coming up for the new her breath record, it will be a mini tour with our friends the brass. and we are fucking excited, you should be too. so here are the dates.

friday aug. 7th - nyc
saturday aug. 8th -burlington VT.
sunday aug 9th - allston ma.

in other news, we now have the vinyl and cassette versions of the new record, so those of you who just ordered either of those your order will ship this week, we have the covers for the cd version, we are just waiting on the cd inserts, and the cds themselves, both should hopefully be here sometime this week, as well as the buttons for the preorder sets, this means the deluxe sets may not ship until next week, sorry, i will keep you updated, also if you wanted on of those sets we only have 5 left so get your orders in.

and as you can see above we have new pretty sick looking saddest landscape and hbog patches, if you want a patch they are free with any vinyl purchase from either band, you don't need to do anything to include it with your order, i will simply just add one.

so it has been a bit since we had an update, and with all the saddest landscape activity we figured it was time for some her breath on glass news, and oh its exciting.
we are pleased to announce the release of "what we left behind", here is some info on it:

Her Breath On Glass – what we left behind LP / CD / Cassette
we what we left behind collects her breath on glass # 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 11 / 12 . the CD version also includes her breath on glass #13, which is the live CD that accompanied the singles box set. With both the vinyl version and cassette each containing their own exclusive live tracks,

the vinyl version is being released by Bear records and is limited to 300 copies all on grey/black vinyl.

The CD version is a split release between Bear and Affinity Index records, all CDs are pressed on black poly carbonate discs (yup just like your old playstation games or what they froze han solo in). with elaborate full color arigato pak covers.
The cassette version is a split release with Bear and listen to aylin, there are 150 cassettes available on 3 different colors (50 of each).

There are also 50 preorder sets being made that contain all three formats as well as some extra goodies, these are only available direct from the band or bear records.

Also affinity index will have a limited number of the CD version with a special outer slip cover.
As far as what it sounds like, pretty much just like the last record, or as ifb puts it: Expect solid noisy 90's style emo with pained vocals and raw, visceral guitar and drums. Features members of the saddest landscape, that seems about right.

whats going on everyone? so as you should be able to see above there are some photos online from the record hospital fest, you can view them here, i think this might be the second time they have taken photos of us and they once again look sick, so whoever you are, you do good work and we thank you.

ok so finally, mail order is up to date, all of the her breath singles sets have been mailed, so if you have not gotten yours yet any day now, all the tsl disco preorders have shipped, all the shirts have been mailed out, and the final two packages with 6"s/release show sets are going out tomm, so everyone will have your stuff soon, so no more long waits for the goods, just fairly quick service, thanks for the support. i hope to update the store over the next couple of days with some more limited stuff i found in the move, so check the store soon. also we are down to our last two copies of the red vinyl set for the tsl discography, so if you want it order now, it will be pulled from the store as soon as its gone, so if you have the option to order it, it is still there.

so it has taken way too long, but we finally got the covers for the her breath on glass 6", so that means everything is here for the box set, a little info on this, there ended up being 26 of them (2 for us 24 for the rest of you), all have the singles club 7", split w/ sofy major, split w/ the brass, the 6", a live CD that only comes with the set, a couple inserts, and a her breath magnet, the boxes are #d and personalized. i am quite happy with how they turned out, (you can see the photo above of what you are getting), i brought the first batch to the post office today, i hope to have the rest in the mail tomm, or friday. so start checking your mail boxes.

of course this means the 6" is here and shipping, so those of you waiting on that they are on their way.
there ended up being 4 different covers for this, 50 in 7" envelopes each with a unique vintage photo on the cover, 50 arigato covers with photos suspended with string, there are 100 6" covers with "the dancing couple", and the rest of them have the standard photo. you can check out listen to aylin for info on ordering the 2 more limited versions.

so to answer everything i can about the mail order.

-good news is i am down to the final 3 tsl preorders which will either go out tomm. or monday. either way all of you should have them soon, most of you have them already. this includes those of you who ordered from coptercrash. again sorry about the delays. we sincerely appreciate all the support and patience you have shown us over the past few months.

-also with a couple exceptions all the other mail order has been mailed as well, so what are these exceptions you are no doubt asking?

#1 if you ordered a record release show set, the problem with these is that they do not fit in regular LP mailers because of the outside cover, so it has been harder for me to mail them, about half of the orders on those have been mailed though, the others are coming soon.

#2 if you ordered the hbog 6". these should have been out by now, but seriously someone stole the box of covers, so i am waiting on a replacement order for those which i am told should be here this week.
a couple things on this. whomever the d-bag who stole the box of covers, please know that; i hope you were happy when you opened a box that had covers that were totally useless to you, there were no records, and no resale value, so fuck you. and also you should know that there is a special place in hell for those who steal mail, i am serious about this, so fuck you again. (i type this like the person who stole it will read this but whatever). so sorry about the delay on this, no one is more upset than me about this, trust me.
this of course means that the hbog singles set is still coming, it is all ready to go just need the 6" covers.

so yeah we finally got the covers and the records are done and out, i was at the brass show this afternoon in boston and they fucking killed, so hopefully some of you got the record there, we will be playing a couple release shows hopefully later next month, but details are still being worked out.

first off i would like to just offer a very sincere thank you to everyone who came to the saddest landscape shows last weekend, really it meant a lot to us to see so many of you, thanks to chris / dan / and girly shit for setting up the shows, thanks to trophy scars for doing them with us, and thanks to all of you who sang along, we hope to see you all again real soon.

which leads me to.... yes the saddest landscape is officially back together, after this weekend it is clear that we really love playing together, so we are going to keep doing so, we will also be putting out another full length sometime in 2009, as well as playing shows when we can. we will of course keep you updated.

we also will be adding over the next day or so some leftover saddest landscape merch from the reunion shows to the store (shirts / record release show vinyl sets / silk screened show posters ) it is all limited so if you want it....

i think we are going to kick it with the hbog news first, the split 7" with the brass is here, the cover art is essentially done, we should have the covers soon, this means the singles set should be shipping about mid month, this also means i will be posting preorders for just the 7" (in other words not the box set) either tonight or tomm, so head over to the store if you want one. we don't have that many copies.

just a quick update, as some of you have no doubt noticed when you received your saddest landscape preorders, the shirt you may have ordered was not there, sorry about that, we did not forget about them, simply we just don't have them yet, so rather than delay your order any longer we thought we would just mail the records then send the shirt separately when we get them (hopefully by mid next month), thanks for understanding.

finalfuckingly, the saddest landscape records are done, we got the 7"s on friday and aaron drove up from manhattan to help me package up as many of the preorders as possible to get them in the mail on sat. so they are coming. this is still a massive undertaking so please we ask that you still be a little patient. all of the 180 gram vinyl orders (including the ones placed through the coptercrash site) were sent on sat., the red vinyl sets should ship over the next couple of days. so yes they are here and they are coming. the photo above should give you some idea what we are dealing with as that is just a portion of the boxes taking over my living room.

first the saddest landscape lp, update, lets start with a thank you to everyone who has ordered already for being so patient, trust me when i say we had no idea it would have taken this long to get the record out, seriously even chinese democracy came out before this, what the fuck is that? all i can do is apologize for the delays, and thank you for continuing to support us, but to prove to you how much we appreciate it that brings me to....

the good news is that remember that bonus 7" we mentioned awhile back, and that we were so vague about the content of it? well after listening to a few live tapes, and tossing around a few ideas we decided that ultimately the best thing we could do would to be simply record a couple of new songs for it. so that is what we did, there is one new song, and also a cover of one of our favorite bands. these are the first new recordings we have done in a couple years and i can honestly say i am quite pleased with how it turned out. so everyone who preordered the record will get one, as for everyone else the only way to get a copy of the new 7" is to order the discography direct from us, as only the band copies come with the 7".

also in addition to this, 5 lucky people who have ordered already and/or get there orders in before the 10th will be entered to win a test press of the new 7", so if you have been waiting to get your orders in now is the time to do it,

so this is all well and good but the question still is when will these ship, well soon, very soon, i am hoping to ship the bulk of these out by jan. 10, my living room is now filled with boxes of lps, covers, inserts, download cards, etc. we are just waiting for the 7"s which have been pressed i am simply waiting on a ups delivery. so soon, very soon. we also have a few things planned that we are going to be adding to the packages is addition to the 7" to so lets just say it should be worth the wait.

and did i mention it looks fucking sick? and it is the best the songs have ever sounded, the folks at golden mastering really know what they are doing.

so even though there has been a severe lack of updates, there has been a substantial amount of activity, our 6" that listen to aylin is putting out will be here in about 2 weeks,

in addition to the 6" we are very excited to announce that we have brand new split 7" w/ the brass, who if you don't know the brass yet prepare to have a new favorite band, yes they are that good. dear new england is putting this one out and it should be here in about 3 weeks, it is at the plant now. so very soon as well.

so how can you get these new records... well being as we are so excited about these releases, we decided to make up a special limited edition HBOG box set, the set will contain the 6" / split 7" w/ the brass / split 7" w/ sofy major / singles club 7" / and a live CD (the live cd will only be available as part of this set, so it will be your only way to get it), as well as some stickers/buttons/flyers etc. there will only be 27 of these sets made (and we are keeping 2 of them) so for the other lucky 25 of you..... the cost of these sets is $25 in the states, and $35 everywhere else, paypal to: thelastandy@hotmail.com , no need to email first i will post on here when they are sold out. and these should ship at the end of january, regular orders for the 6" and brass split will begin later next month, for now the only way to make sure you get them both is with the set, thanks.

first the her breath news, we are pleased to announce that we will be going in the studio in a few weeks to record for a 6" that we will be doing on listen to aylin records from norway, we are very excited to be doing this record, we will have more info on this soon, and we hope to have this out by the end of the year.

in the saddest landscape news, we would just like to first thank everyone who has preordered the record, the response has been pretty overwhelming at times, so thank you it is one of the few times when overwhelming is good, also thank you for your patience with this, we want to have it out sooner than you do, everything is on track though, the proofs on the covers were approved last week and i am told i will have them by halloween at the latest.

this means a few things, one: this will be the last week we will be taking shirt orders and two: this will be the last week we can guarantee that you will get a 7" if you preorder, after the 13th, no promises, so seriously if you were putting off ordering this is your chance.

also we are, and were a while ago, out of the sound of the spectacle cds and lift your burdens lps we were giving away to the first 50 people who ordered, but being as i am feeling giving anyone who orders this next week will get a free her breath record of our choice,

so we are back from europe, tour went amazingly well, i can't thank everyone enough, and though this is in no way everyone i would like to send a special thanks to, andrea, khere, magdalene, cotidie mori theibault, phillipp and the rest of danse macabre, sabine, lars, marcus and freakshow booking, sebastaian harvest and the berlin kids, the whole darmsdadt crew at the villa, eva, our trusty bus who only had one flat tire, and all the kids who came out to the shows.

and a nice fuck you to delta airlines for losing aarons luggage.

so the good news is the covers are finally done!! joe and his screen printing army finished them yesterday, so thanks to him, nevin, chris and anyone else who was there for getting them done. this means records will ship this week, it will take me a few trips to the post office to get them all out, but by the end of the week they will all have been mailed, so thank you all for your patience on this.

man is fucking cold in new england, it makes me feel justified in wearing all these emo sweaters, anyway happy new year everyone, lots to report, and by lots i of course mean a couple of things,

hey everyone,
so we got the test presses last week for the split w/ sofy major, they sound great, they have been approved and im told i should have the records at the end of the week. so get ready to order,
they have dual silk screened covers, with way too many folds and ribbon in them, which nevin and his ifb army of darkness have been busy screening, so thanks to all of them. i will assemble all of them and gather up all the inserts this week,

in other news is looks like the split with mr willis of ohio is happening, all goes well they will record their half at the end of the month. more info later on that.

other than that not much going on just working on writing songs for the full length and working out tour details for the end of the year, fuck yeah we will be returning to the road.

anyway happier news here is what is going on records wise

1. split 10" w/ khere is at the plant now and hopefully should be out in sept. you can check out khere myspace site at: myspace.com/khere for a song from it, our myspace doesnt have any new songs as well i never really update it, still who knows maybe aaron will add a song at some point ill talk to him about it, so yeah look for that record soon.

2. split 7" w / sofy major, very excited about this record if you dont know sofy prepare to fall in love with the french all over again, ifb is putting this out and if i was a betting man, which im not, i would say put your money on oct for this one.

we are also hoping to have our next full length recorded by the end of the year, though we are still writing it but it is the goal, as well as hopefully do some shows down south. again more details as they develop.

we just wanted to mention that there may or may not be a dvd coming out that is presenting itself as a her breath on glass dvd, and we wanted to make it clear that us as a band, and as individuals in no way support the release of this dvd, lets be clear it is a bootleg. other than having footage of us it has nothing to do with her breath... and we wish to distance ourselves from it as much as possible. and even though the person making/selling them was asked not to do so, that just did not matter, and we felt the need to address this just as it hurts to have something we care about (our band) be exploited, and hijacked from us, even if it is just in this small way.

and though we encourage you to think for yourself, and make up your own minds we simply ask that you support us by not supporting this waste of a resources, money, time, etc....

just thought a short update was in order,
just spent the morning packaging up mail orders, we are down to 12 of the gift packs, again $15 post paid in the states, please help us out and order one.
we are in the process of booking our euro tour for august, more info soon, hopefully really soon,

anyone have the unwound "further listening" cd that was released in europe/australia they would send my way, or the arab strap "singles" cd that came out in japan, ill be oh so grateful,,

so all you crazy kittens here is the new update,
we recorded last weekend with the wonderful steve roach for a few splits and aaron and i are both very happy with how everything came out.
some of these songs will be on the split 10" w/ khere which is being released by our friends at ape must not kill ape, and sons of vesta records, hopefully this will be out early summer,
more on the other splits soon.
there are about 10 of copies of the saddest landscape/her breath cd gift pack box sets left, so order away $15 in the states $22 elsewhere all sets are unique and come with some sort of saddest landscape history, old flyers tour photos, hand written lyric sheets etc. so yeah keep those orders coming we have plane tickets to buy!!!
anyone do remixes?? or make videos??

damn sebadoh was good a couple nights ago,, but that doesnt have much to do with us so on with the update.

big news is we will be doing a split 10" with italian heroes khere yeah it will be everything you think it will be. we are excited.

also thanks to everyone who has been ordering the saddest landscape / her breath gift pack, it has been helping out a lot with us raising money to record and tour, so thanks we still have about 15 sets left. and in more distro news....

ok so in traveling and trading with some labels i have gathered a few odds/ends of stuff in the distro so going through it all here is what we have:

party of helicopters "abracadaver" LP overrun edition, there were 30 extra records of the record coptercrash put out, these are those with handmade covers hand #d etc. $8

snack truck "harpoon" lp - damn good, kind of early jeromes dream sounding 2 piece $8

last forty seconds LP the band i sang/played guitar in pre saddest landscape $7

led zeppelin (yes that led zeppelin) III - lp $8
led zeppelin song remains the same double lp w/ booklet $8 (got both of these on a trade already have em so yeah...let this be an example of i am open to any trades for her breath/tsl stuff)

saddest landscape - lift your burdens lp , only 1 copy left on coke bottle vinyl, and 3 copies on blue and that is it, out of print for good. $8

her breath on glass / we are corpses split 7" i found 3 more of these, $5

her breath on glass shirts $10 only small and medium.

alright it may all be a go now! let the update madness begin, i feel like its 2001 all over again with this here blogger,, are you wearing a wire??

anyway though it is long over do i would just like to thank christian for doing this far superior website for us,, also high fives to frank for uploading it all giving us web hosting and doing the blogger shit damn hes good!!

in band news, our 7" as part of the ape must not kill ape / from a strangers hands records is out now, though i dont have our copies yet soon, though. hopefully really soon, but mail is slow, very very slow.

other news, aaron and i are in another band called the saddest landscape we just had a double cd called "all is apologized for; all is forgiven" come out a few days ago on slave union thanks justin!! you can order it from him, or from us $10 ppd in the states ($15world) and for a little while there are her breath/tsl gift sets that have the her breath on glass/championship split cd, and the saddest landscape double cd with special packaging for $15 ppd ($22 world) there are 25 of these sets,, paypal to: thelastandy@hotmail.com just be sure to include your address, no need to email first ill post here when they are gone,, they also come with a new her breath poster,, can i get a fuck yeah???
