the records are in the mail...

finalfuckingly, the saddest landscape records are done, we got the 7"s on friday and aaron drove up from manhattan to help me package up as many of the preorders as possible to get them in the mail on sat. so they are coming. this is still a massive undertaking so please we ask that you still be a little patient. all of the 180 gram vinyl orders (including the ones placed through the coptercrash site) were sent on sat., the red vinyl sets should ship over the next couple of days. so yes they are here and they are coming. the photo above should give you some idea what we are dealing with as that is just a portion of the boxes taking over my living room.

also those of you who were waiting for us to actually have the records before you ordered, order away. thanks.

i figured an update was in order....

first the saddest landscape lp, update, lets start with a thank you to everyone who has ordered already for being so patient, trust me when i say we had no idea it would have taken this long to get the record out, seriously even chinese democracy came out before this, what the fuck is that? all i can do is apologize for the delays, and thank you for continuing to support us, but to prove to you how much we appreciate it that brings me to....

the good news is that remember that bonus 7" we mentioned awhile back, and that we were so vague about the content of it? well after listening to a few live tapes, and tossing around a few ideas we decided that ultimately the best thing we could do would to be simply record a couple of new songs for it. so that is what we did, there is one new song, and also a cover of one of our favorite bands. these are the first new recordings we have done in a couple years and i can honestly say i am quite pleased with how it turned out. so everyone who preordered the record will get one, as for everyone else the only way to get a copy of the new 7" is to order the discography direct from us, as only the band copies come with the 7".

also in addition to this, 5 lucky people who have ordered already and/or get there orders in before the 10th will be entered to win a test press of the new 7", so if you have been waiting to get your orders in now is the time to do it,

so this is all well and good but the question still is when will these ship, well soon, very soon, i am hoping to ship the bulk of these out by jan. 10, my living room is now filled with boxes of lps, covers, inserts, download cards, etc. we are just waiting for the 7"s which have been pressed i am simply waiting on a ups delivery. so soon, very soon. we also have a few things planned that we are going to be adding to the packages is addition to the 7" to so lets just say it should be worth the wait.

and did i mention it looks fucking sick? and it is the best the songs have ever sounded, the folks at golden mastering really know what they are doing.

this brings us to the her breath on glass updates,
so even though there has been a severe lack of updates, there has been a substantial amount of activity, our 6" that listen to aylin is putting out will be here in about 2 weeks,

in addition to the 6" we are very excited to announce that we have brand new split 7" w/ the brass, who if you don't know the brass yet prepare to have a new favorite band, yes they are that good. dear new england is putting this one out and it should be here in about 3 weeks, it is at the plant now. so very soon as well.

so how can you get these new records... well being as we are so excited about these releases, we decided to make up a special limited edition HBOG box set, the set will contain the 6" / split 7" w/ the brass / split 7" w/ sofy major / singles club 7" / and a live CD (the live cd will only be available as part of this set, so it will be your only way to get it), as well as some stickers/buttons/flyers etc. there will only be 27 of these sets made (and we are keeping 2 of them) so for the other lucky 25 of you..... the cost of these sets is $25 in the states, and $35 everywhere else, paypal to: thelastandy@hotmail.com , no need to email first i will post on here when they are sold out. and these should ship at the end of january, regular orders for the 6" and brass split will begin later next month, for now the only way to make sure you get them both is with the set, thanks.

6" and tsl update(s)

first the her breath news, we are pleased to announce that we will be going in the studio in a few weeks to record for a 6" that we will be doing on listen to aylin records from norway, we are very excited to be doing this record, we will have more info on this soon, and we hope to have this out by the end of the year.

in the saddest landscape news, we would just like to first thank everyone who has preordered the record, the response has been pretty overwhelming at times, so thank you it is one of the few times when overwhelming is good, also thank you for your patience with this, we want to have it out sooner than you do, everything is on track though, the proofs on the covers were approved last week and i am told i will have them by halloween at the latest.

this means a few things, one: this will be the last week we will be taking shirt orders and two: this will be the last week we can guarantee that you will get a 7" if you preorder, after the 13th, no promises, so seriously if you were putting off ordering this is your chance.

also we are, and were a while ago, out of the sound of the spectacle cds and lift your burdens lps we were giving away to the first 50 people who ordered, but being as i am feeling giving anyone who orders this next week will get a free her breath record of our choice,

so please get those orders in, there is still some colored vinyl left, as well as a handful of the 180gram.

just a quick update. letting you know we are now out of saddest landscape medium shirts, i only have 2 large left and that is it, i also only have 4 copies of the her breath box set, so if you want it now is the time then it is gone.

so we are back from europe, tour went amazingly well, i can't thank everyone enough, and though this is in no way everyone i would like to send a special thanks to, andrea, khere, magdalene, cotidie mori theibault, phillipp and the rest of danse macabre, sabine, lars, marcus and freakshow booking, sebastaian harvest and the berlin kids, the whole darmsdadt crew at the villa, eva, our trusty bus who only had one flat tire, and all the kids who came out to the shows.

and extra love is owed to everyone in merkit and the mighty iacopo, we couldn't have done it without you.

and a nice fuck you to delta airlines for losing aarons luggage.

in other news there is very little merch left i have 8 copies left of the tour box set (it has the new lp, "we aimed straight down", the "building monuments..." lp, and the split cd w/championship, as well as a bunch of inserts, handmade packaging you know what to expect, each with its own unique photo, tour poster etc) this is the very last copies of the building monuments lp then oop....they are $25 in the states, $34 rest of the world, postage isn't cheap. we also have only 4 saddest landscape shirts, they have the art from the "cover your heart" 7" on them. only in medium or large, and as there are so few they are only available with a purchase of the tour set, just add another $10 to the set cost.

we also have new her breath on glass shirts, they are $15 in the states, $22 world, they are black shirts with ben from lost on them (thats right lost, you know the best show on tv motherfuckers) you know you want this. we also still have some copies of the new lp, and split 10" prices below.

oh yes as you can see from the image above we leave for europe one week from today, i am fucking excited, us, merkit, a couple ultra suave italians will all be hitting the road, come out and see us if you can, we will have the new lp, new shirts, tour posters, and an ultra limited tour box set (only 30 copies!) of 2 lps, a cd, and a whole bunch of inserts, you think our lp had nice packaging oh my.

so yes if you still want to order the new lp you have until mon to do so if you want it sent out before we leave.
